This project was carried out in Swimbridge, Nr. Barnstaple.
I was contacted by the customer to give a quotation as she had been given several quotes of £20,000.
The project presented a number of issues that had to be overcome such as access to the site and the flat roof was built below ground level.
Firstly the galvanised metal roof was removed. A box gutter was formed as all the rainwater had to discharged into the building below via a drain. New roof joists were fitted allowing for four Velux roof windows to be fitted. A timber deck was laid, then a four part fibreglass flat roof system was applied. The lead flashing was fitted along with a bell cast, which was rendered into the wall. Internal work included insulating between the roof joists plaster boarding and skimming the ceiling leaving the interior ready for decoration.
On completion all waste removed from site.
